Social entrepreneur and Teacher Deeply Committed Collaborative Cross-Sector Communities.



Rebecca has developed a wide-ranging career collaborating within social entrepreneurship, community building, public relations, and cause marketing to facilitate business, nonprofit and community growth. Rebecca was a key player in one of the world’s largest collaborative efforts: recording Holocaust survivor testimonies for Steven Spielberg’s “Survivors of the Shoah” Visual History Foundation.

These efforts produced nearly 15,000 of the subsequent 65,000 testimonies recorded worldwide. She was also a key participant in the opening of the New York Museum of Jewish Heritage: A Living Memorial to the Holocaust on September 11, 1997. At the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado, Rebecca forged a partnership with Progress Now and the Daily Kos to develop and implement the BIG TENT, a Blogger and New Media Headquarters at the 2008 Democratic Convention in Denver. She funneled her expertise across many disciplines in helping democratize media, providing unprecedented access to over 500 bloggers. As the Denver Change Leader of Ashoka’s Change Your City initiative, Rebecca was key in shaping local and national strategy, particularly the pilot efforts in Denver. The City of Denver and Ashoka created Change Your City Denver, an initiative to establish Denver as the hub for social innovation in the United States.

In her role as the National Community Relations Manager for Dex, Rebecca helped connect small business to resources by employing social media, webinars, marketing events and virtual trade shows. Recognized as a social entrepreneur, Rebecca is a proud facilitator for the Pachamama Alliance, adjunct faculty of Social Entrepreneurship at Goucher College and Metropolitan State University. She is currently working as the community engagement officer for Issue Media Group in Colorado. She is MOST excited about founding and launching the National Social Impact Chamber of Commerce in early 2015.
