She is currently at work writing her first book, "Experiments in Happiness," to published in 2016 by St. Martin's Press. A veteran commentator and tv host, Allison has made over 1,000 appearances on nearly every network from CNN to MTV, ABC to Fox, E! to MSNBC and starred in her own BRAVO documentary series in 2012.

 

She has published over 400 articles for publications as diverse as The New York Times, ELLE, Newsweek, New York Magazine, The Guardian and Cosmopolitan, covering everything from Burning Man to Comic Con to New York Fashion Week to the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

 

Allison co-founded and ran a tech/media business for three years, produced & starred in over 120 short episodes of a talk show for NBC-New York NonStop, and wrote an internationally syndicated tech & social media column for Tribune Media Services. She has spoken at MIT, Wharton, Harvard, and at conferences around the world about new media, personal branding, marketing, entrepreneurship, and happiness.

 

Allison got her start in journalism as a columnist for Georgetown University when she was an undergraduate, and worked for a Congressman as the youngest full time staff member on Capitol Hill in the 107th congress. A recovering social media addict with over 340k combined Facebook and Twitter followers, she’s lived in New York, LA, DC and Chicago. Now she lives, loves, and experiments with happiness (and a lot of outdoor yoga) by the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
