Jason Myers
He has founded, invested in and sold 20 successful companies since 1991, after leaving the Defense Industry as a systems and operations nerd working on DoD, NASA and other projects in the alternative power, space and weapons sectors. He has amassed a unique mix of business experience from startups to Fortune 50 enterprises.
He served over a decade with the nation's largest wireless telecommunications company in countless roles as an in-house "hired gun" turn-around expert. Some of his largest assignments were to drive a repair depot operation to profitability, develop the company's five-year national sales distribution strategy, oversee its national retail operations for over 1200 locations, working on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and ultimately serving as Chief of Staff / C.O.O. of the company's largest operating market with an annual budget of $1.8 billion before retiring to become a full-time entrepreneur at the age of 34.
His entrepreneurial experience includes operating a family industrial construction business serving the oil, power generation, mining, food and paper industries nationwide. In 1997, he created one of the first paid online directory websites, focused on the professional speaker and related services segment. He used the inertia from that success to launch multiple technology enabled businesses in both B2C and B2B markets.
A forever self-proclaimed start-up junkie, he went on to co-found an online mass merchandise e-tailer to bring a catalogue of 1.865 million SKUs to market in a low-touch business model that leveraged proven drop ship, just-in-time inventory methods employed by Amazon.com, Target.com, and Walmart.com. As CEO and chief software architect, he achieved a rank of 272 on the Inc.500 list of the fastest growing privately held companies in the U.S. He sold that company to a publicly traded manufacturer.
He immediately invested in multiple software companies and recently sold one of the software as a service companies to its largest competitor in 2013.
Jason lives to drive results for fast-moving organizations and currently serves as advisor, board member and investor in more than a dozen companies while being a highly sought after speaker, panelist and consultant for many others.
