Bruce Sindahl, BSEE, MS, MBB

Bruce has over 30 years’ experience as a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt (MBB) Project Manager, Mentor, Trainer and Facilitator, and as a Change Agent / Executive Coach and Advisor. His knowledge-base is with companies large and small worldwide in a wide variety of business and industries including Power Generation, Semiconductor and Semiconductor Equipment, Electronics, Telecom, HealthCare Services, Medical Equipment Automotive, Finance, Information Technology, Chemical/Petroleum, Wholesale Distribution, Government, Education, National Labs, and Non-Profits.
At the start of his career at IBM’s General Technology division, Bruce held various positions in integrated circuit design, Quality Assurance, test/yield engineering, and statistical analysis. These foundations led him to positions outside IBM proper: as a UC/Berkeley Industrial Liaison Officer for their Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering departments, as an Industrial Mentor for Carnegie Melon and UC/Santa Barbara, eventually leading to a position in the Advanced Automated Process-Control effort at the SEMATECH semiconductor consortium in Austin, TX.
Following 12 years with IBM, he spent 9 years in Switzerland developing Swatch Group’s microelectronic Statistical Process Control (SPC) program, performing statistical programming with Swiss Telecom, Credit Suisse and UBS banks, and as a senior technical sales engineer with KLA-Tencor (UK)
During these past 14 years, Bruce has been founder and President of B. Sindahl Consulting (Switzerland, Canada) and Fourmile Canyon Group, LLC (Boulder, CO). Activities have included running process-improvement projects, coaching and mentoring future practioners, and delivering training in all facets of Lean Six Sigma (LSS). All told, he has trained over a thousand individuals at various levels of LSS endeavor.
These last two years, Bruce has added business consulting to his palette, specifically on people and company development, identifying individual/corporate Passion and Purpose, helping companies face their resistance to change, developing a winning strategy including Promises, Vision, Core Values, BHAG, and effective tactical execution.
Bruce has an MS in Statistical Mathematics (University of Vermont), a BS in Electrical Engineering (Purdue), and certifications as a Master Black Belt, Lean Leader and Lean Six Sigma Trainer (Motorola, et al). He resides in Boulder, Colorado with his wife Paula. He is a step-father of 3, granddad to 6, little brother to Heather, a musician (sax, bass guitar), and enjoys skiing, hiking, volleyball, and travel.
